We’ve had a great experience with our group thus far, but tonight, tonight was the first time we really felt “Draw Near”... near to God, near to each other, near to ourselves. The discussion wasn’t led by us, it led us. On previous nights, we went through the subject matter, seeking the truth, but tonight, we dove into the subject matter, and the truth found us. We found ourselves discussing forgiveness and what it means without the guidance of the group discussion ideas in our Draw Near books, only to discover afterwards that we were following pretty closely to those ideas. We truly feel like God is making powerful strides in our lives and as we do Draw Near, His light is revealing the darkness of our souls and cleansing it. Tonight many tears were shed as we shared our testimonies, and we all felt great weights lifted from our hearts as we accepted God’s grace and forgiveness. Praise God!
