Day of Service

Our Draw near group went to serve Donald and Mary. Donald has stomach cancer, and it appears to be terminal. Our group has known about Donald since starting our group from Kimber McCool. Donald and Mary had 3 walnut trees fall from the ice storm. Donald has been doing much of the work, however at this time he is very week from the therapy. Our Draw Near group went to his home with the plans to collect all the walnuts, and sell them to a buyer and return the proceeds back to Donald and Mary. In addition to that we planned to chop up the trees, split the wood, and clean up Donald's yard. We did all this Saturday Oct 3rd on our Beutiful Day. Donald is not a Christian, however we could see that he was moved, and we invited him to our group. Pray that Donald and Mary will want to join us. Instead of returning the proceeds from the sell of the walnuts, Donald and Mary want to give the proceeds to a family that is in need, and the beutiful day continues.
