“Women’s only” (No boys allowed!)

You might think that a women’s only small group would consist of only single women or older women. But no. The “women’s only” small group for “Draw Near” consists of women in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Some were married, divorced or single with several children or no children, several pets or no pets, believer husbands and non-believer husbands. Quite a mixed bag, just like our church, just like the world.

A “door prize” of toilet paper proved to be a fun way to share about ourselves and those that we love. Julie, our host, was welcoming, cheerful, informative and relaxing. It was interesting to hear all the many ways and reasons we came to be there, at the lodge on Wednesday night. Surely, God brought us all together to be a new united body to draw closer to Him. It is sure to be a joyful, emotional and rewarding journey as the women in this small group bond together and Draw Near to God.
