On Friday after school, I took Emma (5 years old) and Brooklyn to get their flu mist. No big deal. No shot or anything, just had to sniff the stuff up their nose. Emma had done the mist last year, but was still a little nervous. She sat up on the table and the nurse was getting everything ready. Emma begins to say, “God is my refuge and strength. God is my refuge and strength. God is my refuge and strength.” The nurse asked what she was saying and she told her it was her verse from church. It was really funny, but also so sweet. I’m so glad that she recognized that she was nervous and that she was relying on God to be her strength.
