Power of Prayer

I would like to take a moment to share something special that happened in our community group this week. On October 14 our community group met and during prayer time a member shared a need that they had seven rental properties that needed to be rented in order to releave some of the financial burden they were under. Feeling burdened to pray specifically for this need, the Holy Spirit spoke to me to pray that God would rent 3 properties by that Sunday October 18. Having laid this request at the feet of Jesus and claiming it in faith I couldn't wait to see what God was going to do. Without saying anything to the couple, when they arrived at community group, the first thing i asked them was how many rental properties they rented by Sunday and He said 3. When I shared with them what God had called me to pray for, and that He answered the prayer exactly, there was a lot of goose bumps and rejoicing. When we met as a group this week the dvd confirmed that we are to pray specifically and watch God work. We saw evidence of this in our group and we continue to lay the needs of our group specifically before God and are excited and anticipating more great things to happen. What joy I have had in my heart this week, seeing that our God is faithful to meet the needs of his people when we are faithful to lay at His feet.
